Heya folks, It's Tammia and I'm back.
A lot has happened, since I've last blogged.
Derrick and I moved to a new apartment. It's much bigger than the one we lived in before. I love it!! Derrick actually surprised me with the new apartment after Christmas. We were already looking at other apartments because the one that we were living in had a leaky roof. The leak was pretty bad, bad enough to where mold was forming around the leaky area. IT WAS CRAZY!!! The apartment manager kept sending out people to fix the leaks, but hell, the roof kept leaking, lol. To be honest, the people they sent out didn't know what the hell they were doing anyway. BUT ANYWAY!!
We have a new fur baby!! He name's Zoey, she a Min Pin and super cute and so daggum sweet, but she's fiesty and VERY protective. She's also a mess just like her kitty sister Merryn, lol.
She's a year old, I've had her since she was 6 or 8 wks. She was tough to house train, but with a lot of patience and love, shes finally got the hang of things. With me being home almost all the time, I figured I'd teach her a few commands. This girl's really smart, so smart she taught herself how to escape out of her puppy pin lol. She's my little escape artist, she can get out of anything, ALMOST anything lol. I thought, "Well, if she has enough sense to figure out how to get out of something, why not teach her some simple commands". She knows how to sit, lay down, high five and give me paw(shake hands). I'm going to also teach her how to "fetch", so that if I drop something, she'll pick it up for me. We worked on it a couple of times, she go the hang of it and was picking things up, but then she got tired of jumping from my lap to the floor, so she was like "Ok girl, look...I'm tired, get it yourself". She laid down and went to sleep, LOL.
I love this little girl to death!!!!
I finally have a new wheelchair. I've been trying to get a new chair for I don't know how long. It's a process, but it's worth it. My old chair was 7 or 8 years old and on it's last leg. The thing was going so slow; reminded me of those daggum Walmart scooters, UGH!!. I was so happy when I my new pink caddy, LOL.
I also filmed the process of my Wheelchair Fitting and when I got Pink Beauty :)
I'm almost finished with school, I'm done with the academic portion of school( THANK THE LORD), now I have to complete an externship and then I can graduate. I've actually been trying to complete an externship for about a year now, only because I was having issues with getting transportation back and forth to the site.
Now, for everyone that doesn't know, I'm disabled and I use a wheelchair. I'm unable to drive at the moment, so I have to depend on public transportation. I hate it, but oh well, lol.
If you're wondering "well Tammia, what are you going to school for?", I'm persuing my Associates Degree in Medical Office Administration. I'll be the person you'll see at the front desk greeting you and asking for your insurance and other information, or I'll be the one billing your insurance :)
Anywho, I enrolled back in school, took care of my financial aid and had the necessary drug screening and tests done, so now I'm waiting on the ok, to officially start my externship. I'm excited but nervous, but I know that I'll do fine.
I think I'm going to continue blogging as well as vlogging :) I may vlog once a week, maybe twice, depends on if anything exciting happens or I just need to vent.
Everyone's asleep here. Derrick's sawing logs with his throat. Merryn, our cat is laying her fluffy butt at the foot of the bed, stretched out like she's the only one on the bed, and Zoey's in her kennel, curled up with her nose in her butt. Meanwhile I'm sitting here on my laptop, while the show COPS is watching me. I need to be asleep because Derrick has to get up at 7AM for work. When he gets up, I get up because I can't get out of bed by myself. It sucks sometimes because I would like to sleep in but, it is what it is....
Alright, I'm going to bed now... nighters!!!
